Salem Said Al Wahaibi
Chairman
Mr. Salem Said Salem Al Wahaibi is the Chairman of Assarain Group of Companies. After obtaining a degree in Business Administration from the United States, Mr. Al Wahaibi initially spent time learning the intricacies of business management. He was appointed as the Managing Director in 1990 and has since taken up various positions in the group before assuming the current position.

Mr. Salem Said Salem Al Wahaibi is the Chairman of Assarain Group of Companies. After obtaining a degree in Business Administration from the United States, Mr. Al Wahaibi initially spent time learning the intricacies of business management. He was appointed as the Managing Director in 1990 and has since taken up various positions in the group before assuming the current position.
A keen businessman and sports enthusiast, Mr. Al Wahaibi has served on the Boards of many banking and non-banking institutions like Bank Muscat, Oman International Bank, Oman United Insurance Co., Oman Investment &Finance Co., and National Life Insurance Co. Besides, he has held several positions in various sports bodies in the Sultanate of Oman.
He was a member of the Board of Directors of Muscat University. He has had the opportunity to serve as a member of Majlis A'Dowlla (State Council) during the period 2011-2015, where he was also a member of the Economic Committee. He was also a member of the Majlis A'Shura from 1994 to 1997.
Mr. Al Wahaibi has been the Chairman of Oman Football Association since 2016. Prior to this, as the Vice Chairman of Oman Football Association, he was part of the team that placed Oman Football on the global map.

Mr. Ahmed Saleh Baabood has been involved in the exhibitions, conferences and events industry for over 27 years.

Ahmed Saleh Baabood is an Omani National, a Graduate in Business Administration & Finance and holds a Masters in Economic and Social Studies. Ahmed is an active Member of the Oman Chamber of Commerce & Industry, where he heads the Investment & Promotions Committee for the Chamber.
Ahmed has been involved in the Exhibitions and Event Industry for the past 27 years. He is the first elected Vice Chairman for the Middle East & Africa Region; Board Member of the Union des Foires International (UFI) and currently is the Vice Chairman of the International Association of Exhibitions & Events (IAEE). In 2005, he was awarded the Oman’s Entrepreneur of the Year Award, which was the first of its kind to be given to the Exhibitions Industry.
Ahmed, manages and sits on the board of several companies in Oman and the Gulf. Currently he is the Executive Chairman of Muscat Expo LLC and White Paper Summits. He is also involved with several companies within the IT & Telecoms sector, Electrical Trading and Electro Mechanical Projects in the Gulf and is a Board Member of Baabood LLC, Apex International Technologies & Projects LLC.
